Reading Bowl Team

The Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl ("HRRB") is a reading competition offered to 4th and 5th graders at Campbell Elementary. The HRRB is a competition unlike any other academic competition that uses questions from the Georgia Book Award nominees in a quiz bowl-like format. The students practice once a week to prepare for the big district competition in January or February. Throughout the schoolyear students read one book a week and one book during the Winter break. If the students place 1st or 2nd in the district competition the students will represent the school district in a state wide competition. This group of students work extremely hard to prepare themselves for this competition and to be successful life long lovers of literature!
